The L980HEV is an 8-tonne-rated electric SDLG wheel loader for heavy quarry, infrastructure, and utility work, with an operating weight of 26.6 tonnes and bucket options from 3.6 to 7.0 m³. A 423 kWh battery (614.4 V) powers a 540 kW peak-power electric drivetrain with about 6 hours of runtime. It produces zero on-site emissions, making it well suited to sensitive or enclosed sites.

It delivers at least 205 kN of breakout force, 226 kN of tractive effort, and a cycle time of 10.1 seconds or less. A 4-speed forward and reverse transmission, a 25.5 MPa high-pressure hydraulic system, and a robust chassis keep it stable and productive in continuous heavy-duty loading. Electric operation also removes diesel fuel costs and reduces engine-related maintenance, lowering the total cost of ownership.
